I pass this barn quite a lot and though its big its easy to miss as it is set back from the road and behind some trees. I love the texture of it, the way the paint has peeled off and yet the lines of the building are still true and solid. The more closely you look the more colours you see:the patches of green over blue-grey steel deepening to viridian in the shadows, splotches of rust that are orange or streaked lilac and panels of creamy off white. In the autumn the round red of the hawthorn berries accentuate the vertical green stripes and the leaves of the trees soften the lines of the roof. Yes I like this barn….
